NOTE: The EsportsRef platform will now be launched on the Gnosis (formerly XDai) chain. Any reference to the HPB chain is no longer relevant.

Hi all, I wanted to provide a progress update on where the project is right now. As you may know from the Telegram channel (https://t.me/esr_marketing) progress was slowed down somewhat. This was a combination of things. Firstly, we’ve switched developers multiple times, and each time this happens, it takes a while for the new developer to get up to speed, analyze and interpret the previous developers code, and also understand the direction of the project. So each time this adds in some delay. Also we experienced multiple issues with the HPB main-net RPC connectivity. We lost around 5–6 days of smart contract testing because of this.

Anyway enough of the negatives, let’s focus on the positives…. the site is starting to come together now. Here are some screenshots of what’s going on in the background. Don’t worry too much about aesthetics right now, as this is something that can be made to look pretty with CSS and styling later on. The main thing is that the core elements of the site are starting to come together now.

We appreciate everyone’s patience. Like I have said before, whilst the general usage of esportsref is actually quite basic and simple to understand, there is a lot of work that goes on in the background to get this working as intended.

Also in terms of the questions regarding exchange listing. As you all know the crypto markets have recently experienced a significant downturn, and the value of HPB (along with all crypto coins) has dropped substantially over the past few weeks. Now HPB was always our primary funding source for an exchange listing, so we’re currently waiting for a turn in the markets before we look to list. This is a deliberate delay because unfortunately the exchanges we’ve been discussing listings with haven’t reduced their listing fees to a significant amount to reflect the market drop. So for example, HPB value is less than half what it was 5–6 weeks ago, but the “discount” to list with exchanges, ranges anywhere from 5–10%. At this point, it would simply take too much of the HPB exchange budge to list, so we are waiting patiently. We have contract agreements in place and once we decide the time is right, we will be able to list very quickly.

I’ll look to update you guys again very soon, and thankyou once again for your support and your patience.
